Mobile App Development

iOS and Android applications, from first prototype to store launch and the release cadence that follows.

Overview

An app is a long-term commitment, not a project. The build is the cheap part; the releases, the store reviews, the OS upgrades and the support load are where the real cost sits.

We scope apps accordingly. That means being honest about whether you need a native app at all, and building one that your team, or ours, can keep shipping for years.

What is included

  • Product discovery and feature prioritisation
  • Interface design and interactive prototypes
  • Cross-platform builds for iOS and Android from one codebase
  • Native development where performance or hardware access demands it
  • Backend APIs, authentication and data sync
  • Offline support and low-bandwidth handling
  • Push notifications and in-app messaging
  • Payments and subscription billing
  • App Store and Google Play submission, review handling and release management
  • Crash reporting, analytics and staged rollouts

How we run it

  1. 01

    Scope

We define the smallest version that proves the idea, and the metric that tells us it worked.

  2. 02

    Build

Two-week build cycles with a testable build at the end of each, on your device.

  3. 03

    Launch

Store assets, listing copy, review submission and a staged rollout to catch problems early.

  4. 04

    Measure

Crash rates, retention and funnel data drive the next cycle of work.

Questions

Before you enquire

Native or cross-platform?
Cross-platform for most business apps: one codebase, two stores, materially lower cost. Native when you need heavy graphics, deep hardware access or platform-specific performance.
What does an app cost to run?
Budget for store fees, backend hosting, and a maintenance allowance for OS updates. We size all three during scoping so there are no surprises in year two.
Can you take over an existing app?
Yes, after a code and architecture review. We will tell you plainly whether it is worth continuing or rebuilding.
